27th June : Received Facebook and email comments by
happy readers who are now immersed in the tale. Dan from Chichester likens
Ebenezer to Black Adder, a cowardly scheming individual who’d stop at nothing
to profit from others, yet rocked with laughter at the chapter when Obadiah
Tucker stumbles across the trembling priest hiding in the long grass.
Had good comments on Chapter 4 when the Ashprington five are escaping from The
Revenue on the River Dart. It’s this chapter that really introduces Ebenezer as
a total coward, incapable of remaining calm and stalwart in dangerous and threatening
situations.
Would like to hear your thoughts on a few of the
other characters.
Continue to enjoy the tale.
